A Silver Lining Foundation’s 3rd Annual Naughty or Nice Party

A benefit event raising money to provide mammograms for those in need on Dec. 3

Join the Auxiliary Board of A Silver Lining Foundation (ASLF) for its 3rd Annual Naughty or Nice Party , 7 p.m. to 11 p.m. Friday, Dec. 3 at District Bar (170 W. Ontario, Chicago). Proceeds will fund no cost mammograms for uninsured and underinsured women. Tickets can be purchased online for $50 at www.asilverliningfoundation.org/tickets or at the door.

Guests who attend ASLF’s 3rd Annual Naughty or Nice Party not only will have the chance to enjoy four hours of premium bar, appetizers and live entertainment provided by the band ‘Sorry For Partying’, while supporting ASLF’s Buy A Mom A Mammogram program which funds no  cost screening mammograms and diagnostic evaluation to uninsured and underinsured women at six partner hospitals.

Both the “naughty” and “nice” will have the chance to participate in a raffle and a great silent auction that will include items such as spa packages, entertainment items, and tickets to sporting events. Don’t miss a chance to enjoy this fun evening while providing silver linings to those in need of a potential life-saving mammogram.

About A Silver Lining FoundationSince the Buy A Mom A Mammogram program's inception in 2006, ASLF has provided more than 2,500 women with information about and access to no cost screening mammograms. In response to the growing number of women needing follow up due to a possible abnormality, the foundation began funding diagnostic testing in 2007. Since its launch in 2002 by Dr. Sandy Goldberg, ASLF has provided more than 450,000 people with information about cancer resources, treatment options and support services.

The philosophy of the foundation is based on two phrases Dr. Goldberg's late mother used to live by: “No matter what your situation, you have to see the silver lining,” and “We are all family, and we have to help each other through the tough times.” With 59 million Americans currently living without health insurance, the Buy A Mom A Mammogram program provides a silver lining to those in need.

Be Naughty or Nice This Holiday Season

“Helping others is always a good way to celebrate the holidays, bringing cheer and making you feel good,” says Dr. Sandy Goldberg, founder of A Silver Lining Foundation (ASLF). The organization’s Auxiliary Board sponsors its second annual “Naughty or Nice” party from 8:30 p.m. until 11:30 p.m. Friday, Dec. 4 at Zella, (1983 N. Clybourn Ave., Chicago; 773-549-2910).

The event raises money to fund no cost mammograms for uninsured and underinsured individuals, and raises awareness of the need for early detection of breast cancer.

“A Silver Lining Foundation’s Auxiliary Board happily hosts our second annual holiday party to provide a potentially life-saving mammograms and related outreach and resource services for uninsured and underinsured individuals,” says Dr. Goldberg. “By celebrating the holidays and enjoying time with friends at Zella, we have the opportunity to make a huge difference in someone’s life. In this season of giving, what better gift is there?”

Admission includes all-you-can-drink cocktails, wine (house brands) and domestic beers.

There will also be raffle with a variety of prizes, including sports tickets, and restaurant and spa deals.
